FANCY CREATING AN ORIGINAL PLAY IN JUST SIX DAYS?
Previously performed as a promenade production in the grounds of Poltimore House and at the Bikeshed Theatre as part of Unpacked family theatre festival, TYP's summer school productions are always vibrant, fast-paced and completely unique.
Originally co-directed by independent arts education specialist and professional director, Polly Agg-Manning, and TYP's Artistic Director, Lucy Hirst, TYP's Summer school productions whisk it's participants into a fast-track experience of play creation as a pop-up theatre company.
In line with TYP's project ethos, 2016's Charlie Cook's Favourite Book was created as an open collaboration between the creative team and the cast – all of the production props were created in the rehearsal room over the six days!
Places are limited on the course to ensure that participants receive detailed direction in the time available.
