FANTASTIC MR FOX

AN ORIGINAL SUMMER SCHOOL PRODUCTION AT POLTIMORE HOUSE

24-29th AUGUST 2015

Directed by Polly Agg-Manning and Lucy Hirst

Performed as a promenade production in the historic grounds of Poltimore House, TYP's 2015 Summer school company presented a comedic adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic Fantastic Mr Fox filled with additional Devon based asides for it's Exeter audience.

Blessed with sunshine, the production's audience were led around the large gardens by a host of eccentric characters accompanied by the folky sounds of Sam Rizetta's compositions.

Once again delivered in partnership with independent arts education specialist and professional director Polly Agg-Manning, TYP's first ever Summer school company spent five days learning about animal characterisation, comedic acting, physical theatre, vocal practice and the art of promenade theatre.

The project welcomed young artist Liv Drake as TYP's first work experience student. Liv has gone on to become a regular artist for the company and is responsible for a great deal of the company's publicity artwork in 2016.

"I believe that TYP gives children who are part of it the space to find themselves as actors in a way that is both educational and nurturing"  - Summer school parent, 2015
